As humanitarian needs rise and operational environments grow more volatile and complex, WFP\u2019s capacity to experiment, learn, and scale new solutions has become central to achieving its mandate. Accordingly, innovation is a key enabler in the organization\u2019s 2026\u20132029 strategic plan.<\/p>\n

Over the last decade, innovation has become more significant to WFP\u2019s value proposition as reflected in the 2015 launch of the WFP \u201cinnovation accelerator\u201d in Munich and senior leadership\u2019s push to use innovation to accelerate progress toward SDG2 more efficiently.<\/p>\n

Following the launch of the WFP Innovation Strategy 2026\u20132028<\/a>, this summary of evaluation evidence examines the extent to which WFP has advanced this agenda in the past years and identifies success factors.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
