Overview <\/h3>\n

This report provides a global assessment of
\ntaxes applied to sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs). It describes and
\nqualitatively compares their design and provides the first global estimation of
\nstandardized metrics to compare tax levels between countries. The assessment is
\nbased on data compiled by WHO for the second time since first publication in
\n2023. It provides standardized indicators of price and tax level for an
\ninternationally comparable brand of sugar-sweetened carbonated beverage and
\ninformation on tax policy for all types of non-alcoholic beverages.<\/o:p><\/p>\n
