UNFPA\u2019s thematic fund, UNFPA Supplies<\/a>, is the only United Nations programme dedicated to family planning, and it is the world\u2019s largest provider of donated contraceptives. The programme provides technical assistance to countries to strengthen their health systems to provide access to modern contraception to their populations, particularly the most marginalized and underserved.<\/p>\n

Part I of the report outlines progress in 2018, with a particular focus on: strengthening supply chains to ensure availability of a choice of modern contraceptive methods; quality service provision including for those in remote and underserved communities or facing humanitarian crises; and sustainable financing for family planning, including domestic resource mobilization.<\/p>\n

Part II<\/a> of the report is the UNFPA Supplies Monitoring and Evaluation Report 2018 that includes detailed reporting on each indicator of the programme’s performance monitoring framework.\u00a0<\/p>\n
