The purpose of the meeting was to evaluate the safety of certain food contaminants, specifically inorganic and organic arsenic species.<\/p>\n<p>This report presents the conclusions of a Joint FAO\/WHO Expert Committee convened to re-evaluate toxicological data on inorganic and organic arsenic species, including a reassessment of dietary exposure.<\/p>\n<p>At its one-hundred-and-first meeting, JECFA reviewed new information that had become available since its previous evaluations (tenth, twenty seventh, thirty third, and seventy second meetings).
