\n Global food insecurity remained alarmingly high in 2025, as conflict, climate extremes and economic uncertainty deepened needs. An estimated 318\u202fmillion people faced acute hunger, while funding declined sharply \u2013 forcing difficult choices about who to reach and how.\n <\/div>\n

Despite these pressures, the World Food Programme (WFP) stayed and delivered, supporting 121\u202fmillion people with life\u2011saving assistance while prioritizing those facing the most severe hunger.<\/p>\n

The Annual Review provides context, key data and powerful imagery to show how WFP responded to major emergencies while delivering assistance faster and more efficiently. It highlights how anticipatory action, digital innovation and strengthened partnerships helped reduce losses, improve targeting and sustain operations in increasingly complex environments.<\/p>\n

It also shows how WFP is linking emergency response with nutrition, livelihoods and nationally led systems \u2013 ensuring that support not only saves lives today but helps reduce future need. The Annual Review draws on data from WFP\u2019s Annual Performance Report, the organization\u2019s main accountability document detailing achievements and challenges over the year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
