\n This After-Action Review (AAR) examines the first joint anticipatory action (AA) activation by the Government of the Philippines \u2013 through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) \u2013 and WFP, carried out ahead of Super Typhoon Uwan (Fung-wong) in November 2025.\n <\/div>\n
\n

Building on a partnership to leverage the national social protection programme (4Ps: Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program), over 42,000 households were reached with anticipatory cash across five at-risk provinces two to three days before landfall, with early response support following for the hardest-hit families.
In March 2026, DSWD, WFP along with select local governments and humanitarian partners conducted the AAR to review the joint operations; identify challenges and opportunities for future implementation; and develop policy recommendations. This report offers valuable insights on strengthening disaster risk management through inclusive, shock-responsive social protection systems.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
