Many thanks to the participants and to our hosts at\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bjerknes.uib.no\/?lang=2\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research at the University of Bergen<\/a>. A summary of the workshop has been published in the\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/10.1002\/2014EO450005\/abstract\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">November 11th 2014, issue of EOS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bjerknes.uib.no\/?lang=2\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research at the University of Bergen<\/a>\u00a0in collaboration with the\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jpl.nasa.gov\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory<\/a>\u00a0proudly hosted the 2014 Ice Sheet System Model (ISSM) Workshop. The workshop took place at the\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bjerknes.uib.no\/?lang=2\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research at the University of Bergen<\/a>, located in Bergen, Norway, from Monday, June 2nd to Wednesday, June 4th, following the\u00a0IGS conference\u00a0in Chamonix.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Interactive sessions were offered for beginners\/advanced users and developers interested in learning how to use ISSM. Updates to ISSM since the 2012 workshop, including user-requested features (i.e. a new Python port, support for new OS\/Platforms, etc) were presented. Also, participants were invited to showcase their work during an open poster session.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A limited amount of travel support was provided by\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.climate-cryosphere.org\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CliC<\/a>\u00a0(Climate and Cryosphere) to help students or early-career scholars attend the workshop.\u00a0<strong>Application for travel support is now closed<\/strong>. In addition, there was no fee for participation in the workshop.<br \/>We are happy to report that the workshop generated fruitful interactions between our team, the growing community of ISSM users, Inside, you will find a Data sub-directory. Run the Download.sh script within the Data directory to automatically download data required by various tutorial steps.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many of the tutorial presentations reference files within the workshop sub-directories.
