Overview
The documents provides the details of the proceedings, conclusions and recommendations of the eleventh meeting of the WHO South-East Asia Regional Verification Commission for Measles and Rubella Elimination. The meeting reaffirmed the Region’s commitment to achieving and sustaining measles and rubella elimination through evidence-based verification, stronger accountability and intensified country action. While progress has been substantial, persistent immunity gaps, uneven surveillance performance and importation risks require urgent, targeted and well-financed action.
The Commission’s conclusions and recommendations provide a clear path for Member States, National Verification Committees, WHO and partners to accelerate progress, protect elimination gains and move the Region closer to a future free of endemic measles and rubella transmission
